Jet2holidays expands offering in Mykonos with new hotel additions

Jet2holidays has expanded its presence in Mykonos for Summer 2020, by adding new properties to its portfolio of hotels.

The total number of hotels now on sale is more than 30.

In November last year, the package holiday specialist announced that it will begin operating to the Cycladic island from Manchester and London Stansted Airports for the first time this summer. With the addition of more hotel stock, holidaymakers have a wider selection of two star to five star accommodation to choose from in the whitewashed villages of Agios Ioannis, Mykonos Town, Psarrou, Panormos, Tourlos and Platis Yialos.

The expansion on January 27 means the company will also operate holidays to Elia Beach and Ornos.

Offering laid-back beach days and chilled nights, Elia Beach reflects traditional Greece with whitewashed houses. Holidaymakers can select from four five-star accommodation options in this resort.

Located in the south of the island, Ornos is a small fishing village and offers a family-friendly beach, as well as lots of restaurants. Holidaymakers can stay at the four+ star Kivotos Mykonos while exploring this resort.

Two hotels have also been added from the VIBE by Jet2holidays collection. These include the Myconian Korali and Myconian Kyma, both of which are five-star hotels and part of the Chilled Vibe category.

A further five properties have been added from Jet2holidays? Luxe collection including the Myconian Naia in Mykonos Town, Myconian Utopia and Myconian Avaton in Elia Beach, Myconian Ambassador in Platis Yialos, and Mykonos Grand Resort & Spa in Agios Ioannis. Made up of four- and five-star properties in exclusive locations, the Luxe collection hotels have stylish d?cor, great service and fine dining restaurants.

Jet2 will operate two weekly services to Mykonos from Manchester Airport, with a Sunday service operating from May 24 through to November 1, and a Thursday service operating from July 16 through to September 24.

From London Stansted Airport, the company will operate up to two weekly services, with a weekly Sunday service running from May 24 through to November 1, as well as a weekly Tuesday service operating from May 26 to September 22.

Steve Heapy, CEO of the company, said: ?We are delighted to have grown our presence in Mykonos by adding more hotel stock and increasing the choice of accommodation to holidaymakers looking to enjoy a getaway to the Cycladic island. With its picture-perfect beaches, whitewashed villages and vibrant party scene, combined with an even greater selection of hotels, we are confident that the island will be hugely popular with holidaymakers looking for a stunning escape this summer.?
