Jet2holidays boosts partnership with independent travel agents

Jet2holidays has launched an exclusive promotion for independent travel agents, which allows customers who book trips via an independent travel agent to enjoy a £110 off per person on all package holidays (bookings to be made until March 1, 2021, with travel dates extending from January 6 to November 6, 2022).

The promotion applies to all Jet2holidays, Jet2CityBreaks, Jet2Villas, Indulgent Escapes and Vibe by Jet2holidays bookings. With more than a million free child places holidays available, holidaymakers can enjoy great value when they book via an independent travel agent.

Jet2holidays’ Partnership 2 Success strategy has seen the company run a number of successful campaigns in partnership with agents over the years. This year the company has launched ‘Jet2holidays Celebrity Come Book With Me’ campaign, which is designed to help independent travel agents boost their social media presence with a push from some celebrities. 

Jet2holidays has teamed up with four celebrities who are posting video messages on the Jet2holidays Instagram and Facebook pages, talking about the benefits of booking with the package holiday specialist. Agents who like the post and comment with their ABTA number, can win a personalised video message recorded by the celebrity, which they can then post on their own social media profile to increase engagement with customers. The winning agency will also get to take part in a virtual meet and greet with the celebrity.

The campaign will run until April, and this week’s campaign is already live with Brian McFadden appearing as the celebrity. The first lucky winner was HD Travel in Northwich, who won a recorded message by Chico. 

In addition, independent travel agents can also continue to benefit from the company’s continued partnership approach, with a number of virtual support initiatives such as Virtual Agency Visits and Key Account Meetings – sessions with Jet2holidays’ trade team to stay abreast of the latest data, developments and trends; and Virtual Knowledge- a bespoke training programme for agents to help them sell holidays and grow their business, understand the current landscape and how to sell holidays with so many great deals on offer, as well as a Virtual Holiday Show- a virtual destination showcase so that agents can entice customers and encourage them to book.

In addition, the company has launched several initiatives to put independent travel agents right in the minds of customers, such as ‘Visit your local independent travel agent’ in Jet2holidays national advertising campaigns, as well as ‘Travel Agent Finder’ on the company’s direct website, which helps customers locate and contact their nearest independent travel agent high street retail store

In the spirit of that partnership we have spent a lot of time listening to what agents want, and as well as fantastic offers for customers, we know they want to drive awareness and engagement including via social media. That’s why we are giving agents the chance to add a bit of showbiz to their social media profiles, and we know that Jet2holidays Celebrity Come Book With Me is already a big hit with independent travel agents.”
