From September 7, 2022, guests on non-escorted package tours will be admitted for entry.
Japan's Prime Minister has confirmed that new rules will admit visitors on non-guided package tours for entry from September 7, 2022.
Following last week's loosening of the negative PCR result requirement, the Prime Minister, Kishida Fumio, now confirmed that arrivals into the country will no longer need to be an escorted guided tour to be admitted.
The escorted tour restriction will ease on September 7, 2022, raising the number of daily entrants from 20,000 to 50,000, and allowing arrivals on package tours without the need for a guide.
