Japan National Tourism Organization launches global campaign

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has launched a global campaign to showcase the diversity of Japan as a tourist destination and inspire travel.

The campaign has been launched with a video titled Beyond the clouds, there is always light, based on an ancient Japanese proverb.

The video, which features travel experiences from across Japan, highlights the importance of hope during difficult times. It will be launched on JNTO?s social media channels, as well as on their website and YouTube page.

The JNTO website has some more content related to the campaign, such as ?travelling without leaving home,? to encourage UK consumers to discover Japan as a holiday destination, and use this time to plan to get to know the place virtually and plan their next trip to Japan.

The campaign has been curated in close consideration of the changes that has come over, as a result of COVID-19, and provides information on rural locations that are a bit off the grid, from the commonly chosen holiday spots and some day-to-day details about sustainability, adventure, food and wellness breaks. In addition, virtual travellers can turn to Japanese Zen meditation for inner positivity during these stressful times.

?Stay inspired in these unprecedented times and keep dreaming of places and experiences you will have in the future. Believe- that there will be a time, when we all will be free to explore again. Remember, Japan is always here waiting for your adventure,? according to JNTO.

As a country which has more than 70% of its area covered by mountainous regions- Japan-has a good scope for skiing and other winter sports, and the famous J-Pow, which is rumoured to have the best snow in the world.

Onsen culture is an integral part of Japanese life, which includes forest bathing, radio calisthenics and sand bathing- are all designed to reduce stress, increase physical wellbeing and promote mental awareness ? which are essential for the coming days, as consumer habits and demands are about to change in the post-COVID-19 world.

The video ends with a glimpse of Sakura, or cherry blossom, believed to be a symbol of hope and new life.
