The programme includes a new site and booking platform to book sustainable travel options and a new Inspire Sustainable Travel Gift Card used to fund eco-friendly options.
Inspire Group has unveiled two new sustainable travel initiatives.
Sustainable Travel by Inspire offers agents a platform to browse a choice of up to 5,000 sustainable accommodation options across a choice of operators including Intrepid and G Adventures. The website features an option to offset the carbon footprint of travel arrangements as well as tips to travel more sustainably.
Lisa Henning, managing director, Inspire Group, said: “Sustainability is on the top of everyone’s agenda currently, and we feel it’s absolutely vital that we can provide our customers with sustainable holiday options.
"We have invested into developing this website where the only content that’s featured is endorsed by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, and a rigorous process has been gone through to ensure that all the products on the website are eco-friendly.
"Creating this website has been our first major step in this important area, but over time we intend to further develop it with an abundance of content, testimonials and stories on how we can all be more eco-environmentally aware when travelling."
Inspire has also developed the Inspire Sustainable Travel Gift Card, allowing companies who use the card as a reward or sales promotion tool to be assured that recipients can only use it to book sustainable experiences.
