The operator's 2023 Impact Report reveals that over 50,000 tonnes of CO2 was offset last year, with £128,000 committed to its charity partners
After a two-year verification process, Inside Travel Group last year earned B Corp certification and, reflecting on its inaugural year, has backed up the sustainable credential with findings from its sustainable efforts in 2023.
Almost 11,000 guests experienced Inside itineraries across Asia last year, fuelling the operator's best-ever revenue report (over £51 million).
Inside Travel Group's global head of sustainability, Sophie Walker, said, "We have implemented several initiatives across the business that demonstrate our commitment to propelling environmental and social responsibility, and we’re encouraging other operators to do the same."
The introduction of an 'Every Trip Offset' policy saw the operator offset 50,695 tonnes of CO2 and a 'Giving Back' commitment saw £128,000 committed to various charitable partners.
Inside Travel Group co-founder Alastair Donnelly was keen to note the impact of B Corp certification, adding, "Becoming a B Corp has had a positive impact across our entire business. Not only does it thread through everything we do in-destination and at home, but it has also been extremely positive for recruitment and workplace culture too."
A new sustainability team member will be confirmed in 2025, with the operator also committing to the publication of its overtourism strategy next year.
