Ikos Andalusia set to open with new Covid-19 measures

The measures include complimentary medical insurance for guests and Infinite Care safety precautions.

Ikos Resorts has announced plans for the five-star Ikos Andalusia's reopening. Penned for spring 2021, the hotel will implement a number of hygiene measures and a complimentary travel protection plan for guests, including Covid-19 medical coverage and flexible booking conditions.

Created by the Andalusian regional government, the Travel Protection Plan is offered to all international guests at Ikos Andalusia throughout 2021. The policy covers up to ?4,000 for medical expenses associated with Covid-19, transportation in a private ambulance if hospital treatment is necessary, repatriation to the guest's country of residence upon Covid-related illness, and up to 15 days of quarantine expenses including stay extensions, meals and local transport expenses up to ?5,000.

Following a successful run at Ikos Resorts last season, the resort will re-open under an all-tested promise, meaning all staff members will be tested prior to the resort opening, followed by regular rapid testing from that point onwards. All domestic and international visitors to Ikos Andalusia will be offered a complimentary rapid antigen test upon arrival; international guests will be able to book various tests on-site to meet travel specifications before departure.

Rates at the resort start from ?385 per night, based on two people sharing a double room.
