Ifuru Island Maldives makes its mark with surprise opening ceremony

The all-beach, all-inclusive resort held its surprise ribbon-cutting ceremony this weekend, welcoming its first official guests.

A natural island, boasting a kilometre of white sandy beach, guarantees a unique and engaging island experience for its guests, blending everything the Maldives has to offer in one indulgent base.

The resort's general manager, or so-named 'Island Vibe Boss', Rochelle Kilgariff, explained: "Surprise! We’re absolutely thrilled to celebrate the resort’s opening and start sharing the fun and magic experiences of our island with guests.

"We are all-beach, all-sunset and all-inclusive, and everything we do is about creating a playful and social atmosphere for all - from being home to the Maldives’ first ever permanent skydive dropzone to our Xanadu spa, extensive dining offerings and exceptional experiences."

The resort opens with 147 beach suites and villas, with select options having direct beach access and/or personal pools.

Accommodation is placed in a collection of 'Retreats' and 'Villages' to balance sociability and seclusion.

Six restaurants and four bars guarantee an indulgent all-inclusive experience, with the opportunity to dine-around and savour the tastes of the Maldives.

In celebration of the surprise opening, 50% off stays until December 23rd, 2023 is on offer, with Sunset Sky suite accommodation, the 'Exclusively Yours' 24-hour all-inclusive meal plan starting from £432 based on a couple sharing.
