The two airlines have expanded their partnership to a codeshare, which will see TAP's 90 destinations throughout Europe, Africa and South America connected with Icelandair's 60-destination network across Europe and North America
Codeshare fares will go live in the coming weeks, blending both airline's signature stopover programmes.
Naturally, codeshare fares will see the combination of both services on one ticket and luggage checked all the way to the final destination.
Icelandair's CEO, Bogi Nils Bogason, said, "We are excited to add TAP to our impressive list of codeshare partners. We recently started services to Lisbon and by sharing a code with TAP, we will be able to greatly increase connectivity for both airlines’ customers."
TAP Air Portugal CEO Luis Rodrigues added that the airline "look[s] forward to working together with Icelandair for the benefits of all travel lovers."
