Hyatt Regencys first venture in the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, has opened bookings from January 15, 2021 onwards.
A collaboration between Singapore-based SCDA Architects and Thailand-based PIA Interior, the hotel's centerpiece is a restored French heritage building dubbed 'Colonial House'. The property, rumoured to have been built as a royal residence, now serves as the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh's main entrance and lobby.
The hotel's interior reflects Cambodia's diverse heritage, blending Khmer architecture with French colonial influences and commissioned artwork by contemporary Cambodian artist, FONKi.
The hotel will boast five dining venues, including a speakeasy-style bar known as 'The Attic', and the FiveFive Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, blending live DJ performances, a cocktail bar, dining experience and views of the Phnom Penh skyline.
?Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh offers much in terms of modern comfort and convenience that travellers would look for in a five-star city hotel,? said Herman Kemp, general manager of Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh. ?Not to mention an unbeatable location that?s within easy walking distance to the Royal Palace, National Museum and riverside.?
Facilities on offer include a tropical outdoor infinity pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, meeting and event spaces including the Regency Ballroom, and the Jivapita Spa.
Guests staying on the hotel's Club floors will have access to the Regency Club Lounge, offering daily breakfast, evening canap?s and drinks, and a private terrace.
