In the debut of our Tech for the Trade feature, Jetsets sales director Adrian Smyth spoke to Travel Bulletin on the latest round of enhancements to the JETS booking platform.
As what Adrian described as "a fully, 100% bona fide trade-only operator," it is unlikely that Jetset, or its JETS booking system, has escaped your radar as a travel agent.
Despite Jetset celebrating its 55th anniversary, and its proprietary JETS booking system turning 18 this year, neither has rested on its laurels. On Valentine's Day, the operator confirmed a suite of additions to the platform which they dubbed 'Enhance the Experience (ETE)'.
ETE streamlines the various fare categories across all bookable airlines, displaying exactly what luggage allocation, in-flight benefits, amenities and features each fare category includes. You can then upgrade your clients' flight experience accordingly. Adrian explained: "No one is an expert on every single airline and every single fare category... [with ETE] a series of tabs shows you exactly what each tier offers."
And why continue to introduce changes to a system that facilitates around 80% of Jetset's bookings and is, as Adrian testified, "the preeminent booking tool"? Adrian said the answer is simple: "Nothing out there is as user-friendly as JETS, or, specifically, the 'Enhance the Experience' add-on for the trade... we are always going to try and surpass whatever else is out there."
Throughout February, Jetset's partnership with Virgin Atlantic and Delta has offered £20 per business class passenger booked with either airline through JETS, with £15 per Premium passenger and £10 per Economy also on offer. An additional 'Mortgage Free for February!' promotion has offered up £1,250 weekly jackpots in association with Air Transat. Adrian confirmed that May will see the return of the popular 'High Flyers' incentive.
