Following the addition of the Canary Islands to the UK?s safe travel corridors list, Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife has decided to welcome back guests on November 13.
The property, which is part of the Palladium Hotel Group, has implemented the SAFE + SOUND programme, which constitutes a 272-point inspection. The programme has been developed by a team of hospitality and gaming experts, in collaboration with worldwide health and sanitisation specialists, including Ecolab and NSF, and focuses on enhanced cleaning practices, social interaction guidelines and workplace protocols.
Sergio Zertuche, chief sales and marketing officer, Palladium Hotel Group, said, ?The UK is one of the most important markets for Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife so we're delighted to see the change in advice for travel to the Canary Islands. As a result, I'm happy to confirm that we're bringing forward the re-opening of the hotel and we look forward to welcoming guests from November 13 for some much-required winter sun.?
?We'll continue to deliver unforgettable experiences, world-class facilities and our core brand values to Hard Rock fans in the safest environment possible. We?ve worked hand-in-hand with industry-leading experts to ensure our property exceeds the maximum cleanliness standards for our guests and team members,? he added.
The SAFE + SOUND programme implements the highest level of safety, sanitisation, and employee training, starting from the initial welcome at check-in, down to each detail inside guest rooms and common areas, with a heightened focus on cleanliness.
Restaurants and bars will be open and available according to the health and safety protocols and regulations. The Rock Spa and Body Rock gym will be open, but will require pre-booking. Young visitors will be able to enjoy the hotel?s three tiered kids clubs and lounges; namely, Club Lullaby, Roxity Kids Club and Teen Spirit. Hard Rock?s Rock Shop will also be open.
In addition, Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife team members have been trained by Ecolab cleaning experts on proper disinfection procedures. Some of the SAFE + SOUND protocols include:
? Temperature checks for every team member, guest, and supplier upon arrival
? Social distancing markers placed six feet (two metres) apart where lines can form
? Mandatory masks for all team members
? Masks required for guests in designated areas, such as check-in and lifts
? Seal of SAFE + SOUND on every guest room door upon arrival
? Increased cleaning and disinfecting frequency for high-touch surfaces across public areas, meeting rooms, dining areas and public restrooms
? Hand sanitiser in every public space area and all toilets
? Team members hand washing every 60 minutes
? Plexiglass separators at front desks and check-in areas
? High level infection control procedures to collect laundry
? Sanitisation of guest luggage before it enters the lobby
? At pools and beaches, groups of guests are spaced six feet (two metres) apart
All Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife guests are offered free healthcare insurance, which gives protection against any unforeseen circumstances related to the Covid-19 pandemic. The new medical assistance insurance is available to all guests, free of charge, during their holiday. The medical insurance complements Palladium Hotel Group?s new health and safety protocol endorsed by SGS.
