The escorted tour company has launched the Solo Traveller Collection with exclusive tours for guests holidaying alone.
The collection features 25 long and short haul tours, with five specially curated itineraries exclusively for solo travellers. A 15% discount on any of the five exclusive tours can be awarded for bookings made before June 9, 2023, by using the code SOLO.
The new solo-options cover a variety of Newmarket Holiday’s hotspots, including the Scottish Highlands from £825, Western Sicily from £1,249, the Croatian islands of Korčula and Hvar from £1,899, a Kenyan safari and beach break from £3,479, and India’s Golden Triangle from £2,875.
In addition, the tour operator has adapted 20 of its existing itineraries to offer no single supplements on selected dates throughout the year. The solo-driven launch is in response to research carried out by Newmarket Holidays which found a big rise in single-person bookings in the 50 plus age group, alongside the Google search data which showed 'solo travel’ to be a growing trend.
Verity Rice, director of Product, Purchasing & Operations, said: “Solo travel is becoming more popular than ever, and we recognise that it’s important to ensure we have a wide variety of options for single travellers.
“With five tours that are exclusively for solos, and lots more options for those wanting to join our classic tours without paying an additional supplement, our Solo Collection features getaways that go beyond the guidebooks and offer the company and community of like-minded travellers."
