Globus family of brands reshuffles trade team with three new hires

The brands new trade team structure hopes to "giv[e] agents exactly what they need across the different sectors of touring and cruising," according to Phil Shipman, UK sales director.

Working across the Cosmos and Globus brands, Jayne Lambert has been appointed as a key account manager, joining from AmaWaterways River Cruises and previous positions at G Adventures, Hurtigruten, and Kuoni.

Kelly Calver has internally moved from the Cosmos Tours brand to take the role of key account manager for Avalon Waterways.

Karen Milward joins from Premier Holidays as the new BDM for the South, joined by ex-Ambassador Cruise Line Ryan Readman as BDM for the North.

Internally, Sarah Makewell will now fulfil a new inside sales support role, responsible for all agency sales activity including agent events, fam trips and events.

Phil concluded: "Splitting our head office account management into touring and river gives both Kelly and Jayne the opportunity to focus and really drive sales in their respective fields, whilst Karen and Ryan will capitalise on their high street relationships to support agents in selling our award-winning brands when out on the road."

The trade team activity does not end there, however: the group has promised a new trade training portal (expected to launch this summer) alongside a new series of agent fam trips and incentives.
