Geneva is the new Swiss City of Taste 2021

The city of Geneva has been appointed the Swiss City of Taste 2021; a title which acknowledges Geneva?s commitment to promoting dietary diversity, sustainable food, local products and urban agriculture through their policy, ?Feed the City?.

To celebrate this occasion, four female wine growers have come together to create a limited edition wine cuv?e which will be available for purchase in Spring 2021. Geneva?s countryside is well known for its exceptional vineyards; and under the leadership of Brigitte Turin, ambassador of the association Nous Artisanes du Vin; Sarah Meylan, Emilienne Hutin, Sophie Dugerdil and C?line Dugerdil, have joined forces to create an exclusive cuv?e available in white, red and ros?, to highlight the varying characteristics of the cantonal terroir.

Visitors to the city can enjoy all the culinary experiences that Geneva has to offer, from choosing to dine at one of the city?s 12 Michelin starred restaurants, enjoying a gourmet dinner on the Savoie Sunset Cruise or heading to Carouge to discover the freshly sourced produce at the bi-weekly farmer?s market. A trip to Geneva would be incomplete without the chance to sample the Swiss specialities of fondue, ?Valaisanne plate? and chocolate.

Geneva Tourism allows guests to enjoy a guided tour where they discover restaurants and eateries along the banks of Lake Geneva, and through the old town. During the summer, the ?Open Cellars? occasion is worth looking out for, when 60 Geneva vineyards open their doors in an annual celebration for locals and visitors .

Throughout 2021, Geneva Tourism will be unveiling a number of new initiatives to further promote the city?s gastronomic offerings.
