G Adventures changes the solo game with new collection

Solo travel is being taken to the next level with the exclusive new offering, featuring 13 tours in some of the operator’s most popular destinations

The Solo-ish travel style aims to celebrate those who wish to see the world alone and seek personal growth through immersion in different cultures and experiences. The tours are available to book now, and include itineraries in destinations such as Costa Rica, India, Peru, South Africa and Vietnam.

Each of the tours will begin with a dinner party and culinary experience, followed by a ‘We Day’ on the second day to focus on driving connections between travellers and the local communities, and the ‘G Day’ on day three includes a range of exclusive activities only available through G Adventures, including kayaking with penguins in Cape Town and a dinner in Jaipur’s Amber Fort.

The Solo-ish collection strives to set itself apart from other single traveller offerings in the market, with highlights including a dedicated ‘Me Day’ for travellers to recharge, itineraries designed with no age limit in mind, and up to 50% off ‘My Own Room’ options with no single supplements.

Yves Marceau, VP of product at G Adventures, said, “The team has drilled down into the mindset of solo travellers to create itineraries unlike anything else currently on offer. Fun-filled dinner parties and surprise experiences help bring the group closer together in the first few days of the tour, while respecting solo travellers’ desire for free time and space.

“Many are still seeking the connection that comes with a group, and this is where Solo-ish shines. With no upper age limit, Solo-ish is open to everyone who wants to experience the adventure of a lifetime, while making some truly special friendships and memories along the way.”

Some of the tours available in this collection are the 12-day ‘Solo-ish India’ tour where guests will adventure through the heart of Rajasthan from £1,099 per person; and the 10-day ‘Solo-ish South Africa’ itinerary where guests will discover the incredible landscapes and wildlife the country has to offer from £2,489 per person.
