The operator has launched an exclusive Rail & Sail itinerary featuring AmaWaterways’ new Magdalena River cruise and a luxury rail journey to Machu Piccu.
The 16-night ‘Columbia By River & Luxury Machu Piccu Rail & Sail’ trip starts with an overnight in Cartagena followed by a seven-night river cruise on the Magdalena river. Guests can revel in the colourful neighbourhoods and dance to the rhythm of cumbia and vallento musical styles that play throughout the streets.
Once disembarked from the cruise, guests will fly to Lima for a two-night stay in the five-star Belmond hotel with a guided tour of the city, before flying deep into the Andes for another two-night stay and then boarding the Hiram Bingham, A Belmond Train for a luxury rail journey from Rio Sagrado up to Machu Piccu.
There are two departure dates available for this itinerary, June 20 and July 4, 2024, with prices starting at £12,999 per person. Prices include return flights from London, overseas tranfers, all accommodation, the seven-day full board cruise, travel on the luxury Belmond Train, guided tours and excursions.
