From December 17th, the airline will operate a twice-weekly service to Chisinau, with fares now on sale from £19 per person one-way
Stephen Turner, Manchester Airport's chief commercial officer, described Moldova as "one of Europe's last real hidden gems," noting its impressive vineyard and wine scene and lush scenery as the route was announced.
H.E. Ruslan Bolbocean, the Republic of Moldova's ambassador to the UK, added that the route is "an important development for the Moldovan diaspora in the North West of England... [we] look forward to the positive impact this will have on both business and tourism."
The route will join over 200 others from Manchester Airport when it launches in December.
