Finnair launches the year's biggest sale for European and Asian customers

The airline's September sale offers travellers super savings across its European and Asian network, promising to be the largest sale this year

Those looking for a traditional Finnish experience in the ‘World’s Happiest Country’ can enjoy one-way fares to Helsinki from £84 from Edinburgh and £94 from London and Manchester.

Those seeking an Arctic adventure in Finnish Lapland can fly to Santa's hometown of Rovaniemi from Edinburgh or London for £133 and £124 one-way respectively.

Other Finnish destinations offering a winter wonderland experience are also included in the sale, with the airline cutting prices on its routes to Ivalo, Kuusamo and Kittilä with flights from the UK leading in at £133 one-way.

Customers looking to travel further afield are also in luck, with a number of Finnair’s long-haul routes on offer from both London and Manchester. Those looking for a warmer getaway can enjoy return flights to Delhi for £519 or Tokyo for £710 return.

Anssi Partanen, Finnair market director Europe, said, “As the summer season comes to an end, we’re excited to launch our September sale for customers in the UK to enjoy. In fact, there’s no better time to visit Finland and experience some of the strongest Northern Lights this year. Alternatively, customers can make the most of an Asian adventure in Delhi or Tokyo.”

Finnair customers can make the most of the special fares when booking flights between now and September 26th, 2024, for travel between October 1st 2024 and February 13th 2025.

This sale comes following the news that Finnair have announced a 50% increase in flights between London and Helsinki, starting from October 27th 2024. With this, Finnair will now offer British customers six daily flights between the two capitals..

The route from Manchester to Helsinki will also see an increase to double-daily flights starting from October 27th, 2024, and the number of weekly flights from Edinburgh will increase to seven this winter season.
