Etihad Airways celebrates the launch of direct Bali route

Etihad Airways has officially touched down for the first time in Bali, marking the launch of a regular service between Abu Dhabi and the paradise island.

Landing in Denpasar, the inaugural service was met with a traditional water cannon salute to celebrate the launch of the non-stop service which will operate four times per week.

Arik De, Etihad’s chief revenue and commercial officer, is “honoured” to be welcomed in style to Bali, and is “thrilled to add Bali to the growing list of destinations we serve directly from Abu Dhabi.”

The inaugural service marks the second destination within Indonesia that Etihad services, following the capital Jakarta.  Earlier this month, Etihad also launched new flights to Al Qassim and Jaipur, as well as seasonal services to Nice, Mykonos, Antalya, Malaga and Santorini.
