England legends host football academy in Dubai

Some of the biggest names in football history are making their way to Dubai for a series of football academies running through the UK and Ireland?s Easter holidays.

The recently reopened Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai will play host to ex-Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole as he shows off his skills under Dubai?s sweltering sun. Former Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen will also be running drills in the City of Gold as part of the hotel?s Football Academy. The course allows children of all abilities aged between five and 15 to kick around with two of the nation?s best ever players. With both legends donning the captain?s armband for England during their careers, a spot on the Jumeirah Beach Hotel?s Football Academy is a rare opportunity for aspiring footy stars.

Spaces on the courses are limited to 75 children per week so the resort will be operating on a first come, first serve basis for places. The courses are priced at ?505 per week and include a daily training session led by either Cole or Owen, as well as a full Football Escapes kit, a medal and signed certificate.
