Emirates resumes services to four African destinations

Emirates resumed flight services to Lagos in Nigeria today, following the resumption of flights to Accra, Ghana, and Abidjan, Ivory Coast, yesterday.

The airline will restart daily flights to Abuja, the Nigerian capital, on September 9. This will bring the total number of African destinations on the Emirates? network to 13.

Flights to Lagos will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while Emirates Boeing 777-300ER will be flying from Dubai to Accra and Abidjan three times a week. Additionally, longer stopovers can be booked in Dubai as the city has re-opened for international business and leisure visitors. COVID-19 PCR tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers arriving in Dubai, as is the case for the rest of the UAE.

Emirates has promised to cover COVID-19 related medical expenses of its customers during their travel, without any extra charges. This cover is applicable for customers flying on Emirates until October 31, and is valid for 31 days from the first sector of their journey. For more details: www.emirates.com/COVID19assistance.
