Emerald Waterways 2 FINAL

Emerald Waterways announces updated brochure for 2021 and plans for Emerald Luna launch

Emerald Waterways has released the second edition of its 2021 brochure, which includes a new deposit protection plan for new river cruise bookings in Europe and Asia, and yacht cruise bookings with Emerald’s Yacht Cruises.

The new brochure expands on existing itineraries and programmes, with new shore excursions that will allow the guests to explore various ports of call, including activities such as bike rides, guided hiking tours and local tasting sessions.

There are 11 extra tours that have been added in the latest brochure, including a guided tour of Rubens Museum in Antwerp; the chance to walk in the treetops in the Bavarian Forest National Park; a visit to the Farina Duft Museum in Cologne, dedicated to the original eau de cologne creator Giovanni Maria Farina, and the opportunity to explore the Côa Valley Archaeological Park in northeast Portugal.

The guided tour of the Dracula Bran Castle in Braso, is a new addition to the updated 2021 brochure. Visitors will have plenty of time to explore the ancient Gothic town, which inspired Bram Stoker’s novel, and enjoy the delights of the capital, Bucharest, as part of the four-night stay-then-cruise extension by Emerald Waterways.

A three-night extension in Istanbul, with a guided tour of the Turkish capital, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Spice Market, along with a sightseeing tour of the Bosporus, is another option that can be added to Emerald Waterways’ nine-day Enchantment of Eastern Europe sailing, which begins on June 7, 2021, comprising stopovers at Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria.

A selection of a short four-night Christmas Time sailings at the Rhine, Rhône and Danube, will allow guests to take in the very best of Europe’s festive markets, in Freiburg and Strasborg, discover the delights of the fairy-tale Christmas markets with local tastings, and enjoy a guided tour of spa town Baden-Baden in Christmas 2021. The Danube sailing (Vienna-Budapest) packs in three guided city tours of Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest, and incorporates the two acclaimed Christmas markets at the beginning and end of the sailing.

The Southern France itinerary (Arles-Avignon) features a guided tour of Avignon with a visit to the medieval Palace of the Popes, a visit to an olive mill in Tarascon during harvest season to see oil pressing, a tour of Arles, and a visit to the International Fair of Santons, which celebrates the Christmas work by local artists. The trip will end with a traditional Provencal dinner prepared by top French chef Fabien Moreale on board. The sailing departs on December 1 and 5, 2021.

Emerald Waterways is offering savings of up to £1,000 per couple, plus a free premium drinks package, which will entitle guests to unlimited on board drinks, for new bookings made before July 31. In addition, they are offering a free Deposit Protection Plan, and an additional early payment discount of £250 per couple when the balance is paid in full by October 31.

Additionally, Emerald Waterways will launch Emerald Luna, the ninth star ship of its fleet in spring 2021. Emerald Luna, which can carry up to 180 passengers, and features an indoor heated pool that transforms into an evening cinema, the panoramic sun deck and the well decorated suites and staterooms. Emerald Luna will operate 18 sailings, across destinations such as Black Forest, Belgrade, and Rotterdam.
