Efteling ? the fairytale theme park in southern Holland ? will be launching a new family roller coaster ride, called Max & Moritz
Construction started in September last year, with the aim of making it suitable for families, with young children, with a minimum height of 1 metre.
?We are very proud of the end results, achieved by the entire team in such a short span. It is great to see how all the pre-conceived elements have come together in the ride. We are very curious about the reactions of our guests. It is of course a completely different ride, compared to Bobsleigh but Max & Moritz is perfect for the whole family,? says general manager and CEO, Fons Jurgens.
The roller coaster ride is based on a well-known illustrated German rhyming story, written by Wilhem Busch, about two naughty brothers called Max and Moritz, who drive the inhabitants of their village to despair with their mischievous tricks.
When the final test rides were carried out, the finishing touches ? including the ride?s theming and approval from the independent Dutch T?V, (an independent testing and safety regulator) ? were completed. Max and Moritz, will soon be racing into opposite directions, through an Alpine landscape, with green spruces, some mountain roses and a babbling brook.
