Daytrip's head of partnerships spotlights "attractive" offering and agent approach

Alexandra Mamrillova, the transfer providers head of partnerships and business development, spoke to Travel Bulletin about the product and commission model, what the platform offers agents, and more.

On the back of a US$10 million Series B funding round, and the provider's latest destination expansion, it's a momentous time for Daytrip, a door-to-door transfer provider founded in 2015.

Unlike the others

Alexandra was quick to spotlight that the provider is "not just another aggregator," explaining Daytrip's "extensive coverage of door-to-door rides in over 110 countries, utilising point-to-point technology and a very favourable pricing model."

That 110-plus destination network of transfers guarantees English-speaking drivers, with tailor-made options spotlighting the scenery or sightseeing opportunities en route, crafting an experience that aims to far exceed the traditional transfer.

Continuing, the provider's head of partnerships explained the features accessible to agents on the Daytrip trade platform. "Agents have access to a user-friendly tool for booking door-to-door rides and discovering intriguing content about potential sightseeing stops along the way. Gone are the days of searching maps for details.

"With Daytrip, simply search for a ride from point A to point B, and we'll guide you on how to make the most of your client’s journey. Personally, I often use our website for a quick check when navigating from one destination to another in a foreign country."

What's in it for the trade?

Agents are eligible for a 5% discount on ride bookings, with host agency partnerships offering a variety of "commercially attractive packages" and bolstered commission payouts beyond the instant payout guaranteed to all agents on the platform.

Quick to emphasise the key role the trade plays in Daytrip's continuing development, Alexandra added: "We thoroughly enjoy collaborating with TAs and Host Agencies for several reasons. First, they appreciate our service and view us as problem solvers. Second, by working with TAs, we engage with industry professionals who haven't lost touch with customer interactions.

"They're significant to us because they foster a vibrant Daytrip community and contribute not only to our growth through bookings but also through valuable feedback and ideas on our product, portal, and drivers."
