Czech Republic reopens for UK tourists with new guidelines

The Czech Republic has officially reopened its borders for the British tourists, with new health and safety guidelines in place, after it was exempted from the UK FCO?s list of travel-restricted countries.

The Czech Tourism board has slowly started to welcome visitors from all over the world, with EasyJet and Ryanair resuming direct flights between the two countries.

Katarina Hobbs head of Czech Tourism UK & Ireland says: ?We are really excited about the fact that Czech Republic borders are now open to the British tourists, and that our country also got on to the list of air bridges too. It?s been a long few months since this terrible pandemic. Now we are ready to welcome tourists back again.?

The Czech government has put new health and safety protocols in place. In all official government buildings, cultural sites, restaurants (unless you are eating or drinking), public transport (including taxis) people are expected to wear a mask and maintain a physical distance of at least two metres. When entering restaurants, caf?s and bars, visitors will need to disinfect hands and maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres from the staff and other customers and use contactless payment methods, whenever possible.

In addition, the Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants has announced a ?Stay Safe? programme, which encourages a widespread hygiene-standard compliance under a united label. The association will oversee the compliance of tourism businesses with this programme.
