CTO organises roadshows in September to celebrate Caribbean month

The Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) Chapter, UK and Europe, has organised its annual Caribbean Month agents? roadshows on September 15 and 16, to support agents and create customer engagement, and increase enquiries and forward bookings.

The virtual roadshows will start at 6pm on both days and will feature six speakers per day.  The training sessions will update agents on destinations, hotels, entry requirements, health and safety protocols, news, offers and incentives.

On September 15, the first training session will see the participation of Grenada Tourism Authority, Dominican Republic Tourist Board, Tobago Tourism Agency, Barbados Tourism Inc, Belize Tourist Board and AnseChastanet & Jade Mountain (St. Lucia).

The second training session on September 16 will include Montserrat Tourism Division, Ocean Hotels Barbados, Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort and Van Isacker Exclusive.

Carol Hay, business development director at CTO Chapter UK and Europe said, ?September is traditionally the Caribbean Month and the UK travel industry has always engaged with this initiative.  Our roadshows have generated a great response from members who want to update agents, while agents themselves find the regional updates quite useful.?

Ms Hay added, ?Despite the pandemic there are new properties opening up and many hotels have refurbished their spaces. So there is a lot to tell the agents who will pass on the information to their clients, many of whom are repeat visitors to Caribbean and can?t wait to visit it again. We have a huge number of offers coming in, and all the flexible booking policies, will only encourage the customers to book with confidence.?

At present, passengers arriving in the UK from Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Montserrat, St Barts, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, do not have to isolate on arrival.
