Cruises in the Caribbean top UK holidaymakers' bucket list

42% of would-be cruisers are setting their sights on a Caribbean cruise once cruisings phased return is completed.

cruise.co.uk recently conducted a survey on the most popular post-Covid cruises which revealed over four-in-ten (42%) of would-be cruisers top their list with a Caribbean voyage.

Cruise ships have only recently begun their phased return to the shores of the Caribbean, and with no UK passengers currently permitted on board due to the current phase of restrictions, prospective cruisers will have to wait for further restrictions to be removed.

The survey was completed  by 1,250 respondents who gave their top bucket list destinations. Cruising behind the Caribbean in second place was Alaska, with 30% of those surveyed suggesting the expedition destination has captured their imagination.

Northern Europe was popular among 29% of respondents, with the Northern Lights and Scandinavia proving prospective hotspots.

South America and Australia take the fourth and fifth spots.

Tony Andrews, deputy managing director of cruise.co.uk, said: ?With its crystal-clear blue seas, sunny skies and friendly welcome, it?s easy to see why cruise guests are longing to set sail for the Caribbean. Our booking numbers reflect its enduring popularity, and as international travel starts to make a return, it?s clear UK guests will be making the most of everything the islands have to offer.

?The good news for people wishing to really take advantage of their dream voyage is that, as well as booking cruises for guests, we can also arrange land stays either side of their sailing, wherever they are in the world. This means it?s easy to extend their holiday and visit landmark attractions, such as Memphis, Miami South Beach, Niagara Falls and Australia?s Gold Coast.?
