p>cottages4you has announced a new partnership with the charitable organisation Surf Life Saving GB (SLSGB) to support its 2013 Junior Lifeguard programme.
The operator will be working with the charity to encourage young people to get involved in the programme, which gives children who live or are holidaying near the sea the opportunity to take part in activities designed to improve beach safety and increase water confidence.
Marking the official launch of the new partnership at the Devon Country Show, children from Torbay Boys Grammar School, along with volunteers from Torbay Surf Life Saving Club, demonstrated activities that form part of the programme, including basic first aid and CPR, board skills and beach flags ? a sprint racing competition that lifeguards use to keep their reaction skills sharp.
