As Turkey was taken off the red list, booking levels more than doubled than the previous weeks levels.
Corendon Airlines reported over twice as many bookings for its Bodrum route, scheduled for summer 2022, as Turkey was removed from the red list.
The new flights are scheduled to operate twice weekly from Gatwick and Manchester throughout summer 2022, adding to the existing regional flights from Glasgow, Newcastle and Birmingham to Antalya and Dalamana.
"We were delighted to see Turkey removed from the red list and saw an immediate impact in overall booking levels", explained Corendon's commercial director, Mine Aslan.
Gatwick will also welcome a new daily service from London Gatwick to Antalya, and a Crete and Rhodes service operating from Gatwick and Manchester.
"Our Summer 2022 bookings have continued to remain very strong over the last few months, but I am sure that we will now see even greater demand from the UK," concluded Aslan.
The expansion of these regional summer services brings the airline's total to 45 flights across 16 different routes throughout summer 2022.
Concluding, Aslan added: "Support from the trade and the regional airports has been fantastic, over a very difficult period. We have increased our trade distribution substantially over the last 6 months and are keen to work with and support as many agents as possible to support our 2022 expansion."
