Travel agents working from home are expected to see a peak in enquiries and bookings over the run-up to Christmas, and The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel, part of Midcounties Co-operative, is offering virtual peak planning sessions to help maximise sales.
The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel is bringing their members some virtual festive cheer in the form of daily, online 'Tipples & Tinsel' gatherings and training sessions to prepare them for peaks. The event, titled 'Countdown to Christmas' is the virtual equivalent of the company's Christmas Roadshow which traditionally tours the country's major cities in December to prepare agents for peaks.
Countdown to Christmas is taking place from December 14 to December 18 with a one-hour session each day covering topics including wellness, marketing, organisation and boosting sales.
On December 21, the Countdown to Christmas event will be wrapped up with 'The BIG Christmas Get Together' when the company review the promotions and incentives on offer and present them to their nationwide agents. Plans include recording a Christmas carol sung by all the members of the call, and a Secret Santa draw where agents can win prizes including a signed Chelsea football, Amazon vouchers, VIBE wireless earpods and luxury bathrobes, all provided by Jet2holidays, MSC, Celebrity Cruises, Gold Medal, Do Something Different and more.
Sheena Whittle, head of the Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel, which has 160+ homeworking agents, said: ?Normally at this time of year we are getting together with our fabulous PTAs, in person, to enjoy a Christmas lunch, a sherry and our Secret Santa gifts. Sadly, this year, we can?t do our usual roadshow but the virtual ?Countdown to Christmas? is the next best thing and will allow us to prepare our agents for what we hope will be a busy peaks and, of course, have some festive fun at the same time. The sessions will cover all the key topics to help the PTAs prepare for a successful peaks, and, as the ?Tipples & Tinsel? name suggests, a tipple or two will be encouraged! We look forward to counting down to Christmas together and to welcoming in a brighter year in 2021.?
