CMV?s light at the end of the tunnel

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has reported a rise in 2021 bookings from UK ports, including their popular Northern Lights itineraries.

Mike Hall, marketing director, CMV, said: ?Our experience over the last two to three weeks is that the UK is thinking again about a cruise holiday in 2021. Those itineraries that offer a sense of discovery and exploration are leading in popularity. It looks like we all want something to look forward to after lockdown. Having the chance to see the fantastic natural display of the Northern Lights is high on many wish lists.?

CMV has a number of itineraries in 2021 which sail in search of the Northern Lights, offering the chance to experience the beautiful Aurora Borealis. Marco Polo departs from the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury March 5 2021 on a 15-night cruise calling in many of the Norwegian locations with an excellent record of sightings of the Northern lights. These include Tromso, Alesund and Narvik plus an overnight stay in Alta. The attractive ports of Trondheim and Bergen are also included. Marco Polo is ideally suited to exploring remote areas of Norway. At 22,000 tonnes, she is a smaller traditional-style cruise liner, a great way to explore with less people around. Fares are currently available from ?999 per person.

Sailing from London Tilbury 20 March 2021 Marco Polo journeys to Iceland in search of the Northern lights on a fascinating 12-night itinerary including an overnight stay in the capital Reykjavik plus calls to the Shetland Islands and the Faroes. This cruise takes in some remarkable scenery plus the chance of seeing the extraordinary atmospheric display of green and pink lights. Fares are available from ?849 per person.
