Club Med unveils La Pointe aux Canonniers in Mauritius post renovation

Club Med, has unveiled details of its renovated La Pointe aux Canonniers resort. 

As one of three resorts operated by the company in Mauritius, La Pointe aux Canonniers is located on a peninsula at the northern tip of the island, surrounded by un-spoilt, picturesque white coral sand beaches. The resort also benefits from crystal clear waters, nearby forests and mountainous areas and a number of championship golf courses on its doorstep. 

Opened in 1972, the resort has been a popular choice for guests for its all-year round tropical climate. It has undergone major renovation and extension of its existing property to include 108 new Superior rooms, a new Beach Lounge, and La belle Cr?ole, serving up fresh and local produce daily.

While families can still make the most of the kids? clubs running from four months to 17 years with a whole host of land and watersport activities on offer, children can now also enjoy the new family pool area ? boasting slides and water cannons. For adults seeking a bit more relaxation, guests can unwind in the new spa by Cinq Mondes or at the oceanfront Zen adults-only area with infinity pool, dedicated bar and a calm beach access. 

The resort features open-plan architecture and thatched roof huts. While the new interior reflects a contemporary and colourful design.
