CLIA announces two top speakers for the 2019 Conference

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced that Kelly Craighead, CLIA president and CEO and Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises, will speak at the flagship 2019 Conference, taking place May 15 ? 17.

Lisa Lutoff-Perlo will give a talk to the conference attendees who registered for a space onboard Celebrity Edge on May 15. Kelly Craighead will speak at the full-day conference on May 16, joining an expert speaker line-up that includes Azamara Club Cruises? president and CEO Larry Pimentel and Virgin Voyages? president and CEO Tom McAlpin.

Kelly Craighead has spent over 15 years in the public and private sectors, recently serving as deputy assistant secretary for travel and tourism in the U.S. Department of Commerce. Among Craighead?s top priorities as CLIA?s president and CEO will be to continue to share the value and excitement of cruise travel, aiming to showcase cruise as the best holiday choice for every traveller around the world. 

Lutoff-Perlo leads the 13-ship brand and also leads Royal Caribbean Cruises? (RCL) global marine organisation, ensuring that the corporation?s $30-billion fleet of 59 ships run safely across all RCL brands. Lutoff-Perlo has led and launched multiple next-generation cruise ships included Celebrity Cruises? Solstice Class, the catalyst for the brand?s modern luxury positioning. Lutoff-Perlo also introduced the first luxury ship designed for the Galapagos ecosystem, Celebrity Flora.

Taking place in Southampton from May 15 ? 17, the annual CLIA Conference is one of the largest travel agent conferences in the UK. The three-day event will include a trade fair, a full day of conference sessions and a gala dinner. Delegates will have the chance to visit two of the three ships in port for the event: Celebrity Edge, Cunard?s Queen Mary 2 and MSC?s Preziosa.
