The trade-friendly activities and incentives for 2025 were revealed at CLIA’s annual forum today in Windsor, promising agents a series of events and training opportunities throughout the year
Next year will see the debut of CLIA’s first-ever Expedition Showcase from July 16th to 20th, in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Agents can enjoy ship visits aboard AE Expeditions, Ponant, Quark Expeditions and Swan Hellenic, as well as shore excursions, hosted dinners and business sessions.
Also in July CLIA and member cruise lines will offer information sessions for agents at the new Art of Selling Cruise event in Leeds.
On a more personal basis, one-day in-person forums will be available throughout the year, each offering a specific focus within the cruise industry. These sessions comprise of an Expedition session in London on March 20th; a Luxury forum in Manchester on June 18th; a Yacht and Small Ship session in Birmingham on September 4th; and a River Cruise forum in Glasgow on October 23rd.
Finally, 2025 will witness the return of the Expedition Champion and the River Champion hybrid learning programmes. Each programme will have space for 70 frontline agents who can join the six-month modules in the latter half of the year.
Andy Harmer, director of CLIA, said, “Today’s forum has been the ideal way to round off another successful year and I’d like to thank every agent and industry colleague who has made it all possible […] We’re determined for the momentum to keep apace in 2025 and have ensured there are a wealth of new opportunities available for the trade to develop their expertise across the next 12 months.”
