To increase trade engagement and strengthen the local tourism industry, the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) has launched a virtual series of talks and events to be held from October 20.
The theme of the series is ?Tourism Starts with Us? and is designed to educate and inform, as well as explore ideas and solutions to aid the Cayman tourism economy as it recovers from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first event will take place at 5pm BST on Tuesday October 20 with special guest Rafat Ali, Founder/CEO of Skift ? the largest industry intelligence platform providing media, insights and marketing to key sectors of travel.
The series will then continue weekly with guest speakers and local tourism insight, as well as media events and opportunities. Additional speakers will be talking on a variety of different subjects ranging from the future of travel, to hygiene protocols and how to feel more motivated during the current COVID-19 crisis. The Director of Tourism Rosa Harris will also be on hand for live Q&A sessions during the programme.
