The luxury operators new trade-first campaign, the Importance of Elsewhere hopes to inspire clients to book a holiday to look forward to.
With many customers experiencing disruption to their travel plans over the last year, luxury tailor-made tour operator, Carrier, focuses on the 'Importance of Elsewhere'. The concept highlights the pent-up demand to travel 'elsewhere' and the excitement that comes with booking a holiday and having something to look forward to.
The initial campaign launched with ten destinations from remote islands in the Maldives to some of Europe's most treasured corners. Further destinations will be added to the campaign in the coming weeks, including a number of itineraries across Africa, Asia and the USA.
Carrier has curated a number of travel experiences, hoping to entice guests looking for a secluded, meaningful yet out-of-the-ordinary experience. From a summer mountain retreat in the Dolomites, showcasing gourmet hikes and Michelin-starred mountain dining, the largest over-water villa in the Maldives or a private wilderness reserve in the Arctic Circle, the experiences blend much needed bucket-list trips with secluded luxury.
The campaign is Carrier's first to take a trade-first approach. Carrier has seen up to 50% of books coming from brand new travel agents, with head of marketing Natasha Tower explaining, ?We have seen a significant number of new agents wanting to work with Carrier recently. It?s been a really tough time for the whole of the industry and our approach to supporting our trade agent partners and doing the right thing by their clients has only built upon our excellent reputation. We truly believe the future of travel is one that?s human and recognise the value that our travel agent partners offer. Designing our peaks campaign with a trade-first approach means we can fully support them with a ready-made campaign that we hope will inspire and engage their clients and generate more bookings.?
Collateral for the campaign includes unbranded digital resources accessible via a dedicated campaign landing page that can be used to market the getaways to eager clients.
