More than 183 countries from across the globe have qualified at least one athlete in the 2012 Olympic Games and will becoming to Britain this year to take part, but a new study from latedeals.co.uk has found that many Brits dont recognise the names of more than a third of the National Olympic Committees competing in this years games.
The company, which quizzed more than 2,000 holidaymakers, found that 66% of Brits think that Cancun is in the US (not Mexico), 52% reported that Prague was in Sweden and 48% don't know that the Alps are in Europe.
41% also think that the Three Valleys are in Austria and half couldn't name the countries that Marrakech, Frankfurt and Milan belong to.
