p>bmibaby has announced a restructuring programme to concentrate on its core operations and activities and adjust existing schedules and frequencies to maximise their potential. Greater operational efficiencies and optimising aircraft utilisation will enable the airline to reduce its fleet size by five aircraft next year from the current 17.
Part of the restructuring programme will create the capacity to add to the number of destinations it will serve next year from East Midlands Airport.
These include flights to Venice from February 12, Barcelona from March 28, Newquay from May 28, Malta and Sardinia from May 29 and Dubrovnik and Corsica from May 30.
