p>Bmi has unveiled its newly refurbished lounge for customers travelling to destinations in the UK and Ireland.

The London Room is available to Gold and Silver Diamond Club members, the airline?s frequent flyer programme and also to all customers travelling on the recently introduced Flexible Economy and Economy Extra tickets.

The London Room shares key design features with the airline?s flagship international lounge (The Great British Lounge) such as feature walls and black mirrored glass tiling. It also features a series of black and white photographs of unusual London scenes, as well as bespoke wallpaper featuring key London symbols (City of London crest, a pod from the London eye, Beefeaters and London taxis) exclusively designed for the lounge.

Other enhancements include an improved work area which includes six PCs available for customer use and free Wi-Fi access; redesigned servery and washroom areas. A new menu offers breakfast until 11am, snacks throughout the day and a choice of afternoon tea cake served from 4pm. Customers who are pressed for time can stop to get a ?coffee to go? ? a feature that was developed following customer feedback during the lounge design.

Another British feature is the inclusion of free retro British sweets, such as blackjacks, rhubarb and custards and lemon sherbets, for customers to help themselves before they leave the lounge.
