Anatolian combines Cappadocia with Turkey?s historic sites

Anatolian Sky Holidays? new Turkey brochure is to feature a new eight-day escorted tour that takes in Cappadocia with a selection of other significant historical sites.

Departing from Dalaman, the new ?Cappadocia & Beyond? escorted tour visits several lesser-known sites en-route from the coast to Cappadocia, including the recently excavated site at Sagalosos.

Two days are spent in Cappadocia, with visits to the Goreme Open-Air Museum, the fairy chimneys of Love Valley, a pottery demonstration in Avanos, and the underground city at Derinkuyu, with the option to take part in a hot-air balloon ride at dawn.

Retracing the route back to the coast, the itinerary includes a night in Konya, home of the ?Whirling Dervishes?; a tour of Pamukkale, with a visit to the site of the ancient city of Hierapolis and the famous ?cotton castle?; a morning visit to Ephesus; and a boat trip along the river at Dalyan.

With the tour ending in Dalyan and the return flight from Dalaman, clients have the option to extend their trip with a stay at one of the many resorts along the coast, including Dalyan, Akyaka, Fethiye and Kalkan.

The tour is priced from ?999 per person and includes flights, transfers, transport, half-board accommodation, a guide, all entrance fees to sites and museums and the river boat trip.
