America's musical legacy sits centre stage in Newmarket's latest tour

Dive head-first into the USA’s musical legacy with Newmarket’s brand-new group tour offering that hits the right notes.

The 10-day musical odyssey will take guests into the underbelly of American musical talent by shining the spotlight on legendary musicians and journeying into the heart of jazz, blues and Motown.

Guests will take in the vibrant heart of the blues in Chicago, home to the likes of Muddy Waters and Willy Dixton, before experiencing an audio tour of Macy’s and a river cruise along the Chicago River.

Next stop: Route 66, where guests will bask in the true definition of Americana. The journey will continue to Detroit where travellers will experience the soul of the city in the Motown Museum, before heading to Cleveland and rocking out in the Rock ‘n’ Roll hall of Fame.

The final notes will ring over Alexandria on the banks of the Potomac River before heading to Washington with the option of a guided tour of Capitol Hill.

David Sharman, chief commercial officer for Newmarket Holidays, is “thrilled” to introduce agents to a “new musical odyssey that has an itinerary no other operator offers.”

Departures are available in November 2025, and from April to November 2026, with prices leading in from £2,995 per person including accommodation, guided tours and return flights to Chicago from Washington DC.
