The airline is gearing up for its bumper summer season which will include an inaugural route between Porto and Montreal
The new route, which will take to the skies on June 5th, 2025, will compliment Air Canada’s existing route to Lisbon, offering travellers greater access to Canada and beyond.
Flights on the seasonal service will operate three times per week until September 30th, 2025. Fares lead in from €380 return as part of Air Canada’s recent sale.
Jose Antonio Blazquez Ballarin, Air Canada’s country manager sales, Spain & Portugal, said, “Here at Air Canada, we are already counting down the days until take-off, as we get ready to open our newest route between Portugal and Canada. With just over two months to go, we are excited to welcome onboard not only customers based in Porto, but also those across Galicia, and the wider Iberian Peninsula, supporting our existing operations in Barcelona, Lisbon and Madrid.”
Throughout the summer, Air Canada will operate up to 42 weekly flights from the Iberian Peninsula, including routes from Barcelona, Lisbon, Madrid and Porto to Montreal and Toronto. Air Canada is also expanding its network to the UK after the first flight from its newly reinstated route between London Heathrow and Ottawa took off earlier this week.
