Richard Branson & co. have announced a new $120,000 year-long cruise pass, allowing guests to sail on unlimited Virgin Voyages sailings for a year. Agents who book the pass can earn almost £8,000 in commission
Setting sail in 2025, the pass covers worldwide cruises on any ship, anytime from anywhere. Never one to stray from a 'world's first', the pass can be purchased using Bitcoin, making it the first cruise product to accept cryptocurrency payment.
Announcing the news on Good Morning America, Richard Branson explained, "I’ve always been a big believer in the power of travel and adventure to spark creativity and bring clarity. What started as a sought after ‘work from sea’ concept with our Season Pass has evolved into something even more special.
"Now, Sailors can jump aboard any of our ships, across an endless variety of exciting destinations for an entire year. We’re offering unlimited opportunities for adventure in a way that has never been done in cruising before."
The annual pass is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with start dates on January 1st, February 1st, March 1st or April 1st available.
The US$120,000/£94,689 pass does not cover taxes or booking fees.
Agents will earn £7,890,76 commission on each pass sold.
