Speaking at his first UK travel agents convention, Magnus who created Europe?s first academic course in trendspotting and future thinking at the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, aims to predict key changes in the future by studying and researching the past.

In his presentation Magnus will: identify the key general trends that are taking place in the world and the impact they will have; provide an outsider?s view on the challenges the travel industry will face in the future; point to what can be done to turn these changes to your advantage by referencing organisations that have embraced change and adapted their business ways.

Magnus will then join panellists Hugh Morgan, Cosmos; Maria Whiteman, Directline Holidays; Paul Simmons, easyJet; and Jo Rzymowska, Royal Caribbean International to discuss the future of the industry and debate the steps businesses need to take to welcome these changes.

Julia Lo Bue-Said, leisure director at Advantage Travel Centres, said: ?We may not be able to totally predict the future, but with the help of Magnus Lindkvist delegates will perhaps have a much clearer idea about it and how to capitalise on the opportunities.?
