The Advantage Travel Partnership has teamed up with AS Training to provide its members with a choice of trade apprenticeship courses.
Advantage members will be able to access customer service, travel consultant, and team leader/supervisor courses.
David Moon, head of Business Development at Advantage, said: “The last 18 months has seen huge pressure on travel businesses when it comes to staff recruitment.
"Apprenticeships play an increasingly important role in bringing new talent into the sector, which will be essential in developing the travel industry's future talent. It is more important than ever that we lead the way against a backdrop of government funding cuts to level 3 tourism courses.”
AS Training offers apprenticeship schemes throughout England. The Advantage Travel Partnership has confirmed it is actively pursuing partners to cover apprenticeship offerings in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
