ABTA reminds trade of post-Brexit passport rules

Social media assets are available through ABTAs Member Zone to support agents communications with their customers.

Ahead of what is expected to be the busiest summer season since 2019 for European departures, ABTA – The Travel Association has reminded members and the wider industry of the new post-Brexit passport rules to share with customers.

With the UK no longer in the EU, British passport holders travelling to the EU, as well as Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or Vatican City (excluding Ireland) are subject to two main passport requirements.

Holidaymakers must have a passport issued less than 10 years before their date of entry aboard, and is valid for at least three months after the day they intend to leave.

Along with guidance at www.abta.com, a series of social media assets are encouraged to share on their own channels from the Member Zone.
