Since welcoming two reinstated routes over the winter season, the Madeira Promotion Bureau hopes to carry its momentum into the upcoming year
Both British Airways and Jet2 reinstated routes this winter, with the former's London Gatwick service returning after a near-five-year hiatus (since March 2020) and Jet2's weekly flights from Belfast taking flight for the first time since November 2019. Jet2 also introduced a new weekly service from Liverpool and announced more services from its new base at London Luton.
To build on the air-inspired momentum, the destination's tourism board is refining its approach around six key product areas: sea, nature, lifestyle, culture, enogastronomy and weddings.
Sara Marote, the Madeira Promotion Bureau's executive director, says the six pillars hope "to offer something for every type of traveller - whether seeking adventure, relaxation or a blend of both.
"By targeting a broad range of audiences, from outdoor enthusiasts to those seeking refined lifestyle experiences, we are confident Madeira will continue to be an exceptional destination in 2025 and beyond."
