PATA chairman rounds up destination direction

Chris emphasised that "the desire to visit Pacific Asia continues into 2024," and that desire is reflected in member bookings: "Our PATA tour operator members show 2024 is off to a good start."

Helen Wheat, destination manager (Asia) at Travelbag spotlighted that "in October 2023 alone we saw +95% year-on-year for Indonesia... alongside destinations such as Vietnam and Japan."

David Kevan, founding partner of Chic Locations, added: "Thailand and Vietnam are leading in numbers, with late bookings for the next two months and winter repeaters booking again immediately after returning home."
