Sandals Resorts International has been working to assist with the relief efforts to support COVID-19 response in the Caribbean.
The Sandals Foundation, the non-profit charitable arm of Sandals Resorts International, has to date partnered with and donated JMD$5mn to the private sector organisation of Jamaica to purchase ventilators for hospitals in the country.
Working alongside the Sandals Foundation to support the relief efforts, Sandals Resorts has provided the Jamaican government with access to a 52-room hotel, Sandals Carlyle, which will be used as isolation centres for patients who have recovered but still need additional space to be monitored before returning home.
In addition to this, Sandals Resorts is providing transportation for healthcare professionals in Western Jamaica. As well as this, 10 handheld thermometers have been donated to the Ministry of Health in Jamaica.
Sandals Resorts is making Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort & Spa in Saint Lucia available to accommodate Cuban healthcare workers coming onto the island to assist with COVID-19 efforts.
Sandals Resorts and the Sandals Foundation have agreed to continue assistance where possible across the Caribbean.
